Dr. Norbert Cheung
Dr Norbert C. Cheung obtained his BSc, MSc, and PhD from the
University of London, University of Hong Kong and University of
New South Wales in 1981, 1987 and 1996 respectively.
From 1981 to 1985 he worked in the Advanced Manufacturing
Dept. of General Electric (HK), and the Electronics Services
Division, Hong Kong Productivity Council. During this period, he
acted as the project leader for the development of Hong Kong's
first CNC Photo Plotter System.
From 1985 to 1992 he worked as a lecturer and a senior
lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Hong
Kong Polytechnic. After that he went to Australia and undertook
a PhD in actuator control at the University of New South Wales.
After graduation, Dr. Cheung worked for 2 years as a Technical
Manager at ASM Assembly Automation, in the areas of intelligent
motion control and robotics systems. He rejoined the HK
Polytechnic University in 1997, and he has been the Associate
Professor at the Electrical Engineering Department. After 2019
he continued to serve the PolyU EEE Department as an Adjunct
Associate Professor until now.
From 2021-2024, Dr. Cheung
also served as an Associate Professor at the College of
Mechatronics and Control Engineering, in Shenzhen University.
Dr. Norbert Cheung has published more than 70 journal
papers, more than 120 conference papers, and has obtained 8
patent inventions. He has received the 2006 President's Award
for Excellence Achievement, the IEEE Industry Application
Society Best Paper Award, the IEEE Industrial Electronics
Society Best Presentation Award, the Chinese Power Supply
Society Outstanding Paper Award, and the HK Polytechnic
University's Most Valued Product Development Award.
Dr Cheung is a Chartered Engineer, a member of the IET, and
a senior member of the IEEE. He was the IEEE Chair for the Hong
Kong Section in 2013. He was also the Chair/Co-chair/Organizing
Committee for more than 20 Conferences.
Dr Cheung was announced by Stanford University, as the top 2%
most influential Lifetime Scientist in the world, in 2023 and
2024.

张宙博士
张宙博士分别于
1981 年、1987 年和 1996 年获得伦敦大学、香港大学和新南威尔士大学理学士、硕士和博士学位。
1981
年至 1985
年，他先后任职于通用电气（香港）先进制造部和香港生产力促进局电子服务部。在此期间，他担任香港首个数控照排机系统开发项目的负责人。
1985 年至 1992
年，他在香港理工学院电子工程系担任讲师和高级讲师。之后，他前往澳大利亚新南威尔士大学攻读执行器控制博士学位。
毕业后，张博士在 ASM Assembly Automation
担任了两年的技术经理，从事智能运动控制和机器人系统方面的工作。1997
年，他重返香港理工大学，并担任电气工程系副教授。2019年后，他继续担任理大电机工程学系客座副教授至今。
2021-2024年，张博士还担任深圳大学机电与控制工程学院副教授。
张宙博士已发表
70 多篇期刊论文和 120 多篇会议论文，并获得 8 项发明专利。他曾获 2006 年总统卓越成就奖、IEEE
工业应用学会最佳论文奖、IEEE 工业电子学会最佳演讲奖、中国电源学会优秀论文奖和香港理工大学最具价值产品开发奖。
张博士是特许工程师、IET 会员和 IEEE 高级会员。他曾于 2013 年担任 IEEE 香港分会主席。 他还曾担任
20 多次会议的主席/共同主席/组织委员会成员。
张博士被斯坦福大学宣布为 2023 年和 2024 年全球前
2% 最有影响力的終生成就科学家。
